Q:i hate to be an anon seeking life help but i have recently have acknowledged my sexuality. I identify as pan/bi but with a heavy lean towards fems because the idea of relations with a girly is so much more comfortable. well i told my parents and sister and i keep getting the "no youre not." or "you have never had a relationship you cant be." I know who i am even if im a virgin. How do you respond to those?

Hey Anon, there’s absolutely no problem with asking for help.
I’m happy to be able to help :)

When they ask you that, just counter with “I’ve never been in a relationship with a boy, either. How do you know I’d like them?”
They’ll most likely pull the “it’s not natural” card.

Granted it’s a wiki article, there are still a lot of sources at the bottom. This will give you good fodder to counter their close-mindedness with.

If you’re not feeling that cheeky, simply tell them what you told me.
“I know who i am even if I’m a virgin.”
Because, honestly, what’s better?
Sleeping around until you “know,” or just accepting yourself?

It’s hard right now, but hang in there… Don’t be discouraged by their initial reaction, keep fighting for your acceptance.

I’m proud of you for even having the courage to tell them :)
