Imam Muhsin Hendricks is part of the Inner Circle organisation in South Africa that works to fight homophobia by creating awareness of sexuality in the Muslim community.

He also took part in the documentary film “Jihad for Love”. A real pioneer and I hope that his message of tolerance and love and compassion is more widely adopted. To me, Islam is a religion of compassion, NOT hate. Yet the typical response to people who identify as gay Muslims is filled with hate.
