homosexuality in the quran

mosprob:

This is going to be a long-ass post, but not nearly as long as this topic deserves. The more I’ve studied this issue, the more I’ve come to see deeper dimensions to the quran’s language e.g. the use of dualities and the role of gendered words. I can’t cover everything I’ve found in one post, so I’ll keep this as brief and as structured as possible.

This was an amazing and refreshing read. Honestly, I had wondered for years about the linguistics behind gender as compared to social roles.
I’m even more amazed at how you’ve re-evaluated the issue of Lut offering his daughters and guests as “correct alternatives.”
I’ve always found that to be a very uncomfortable alternative when it was taught to me as a child…why would a Prophet even think to suggest such a thing?

As with amillinoexpecations, my Arabic is practically non-existent, so this was very encouraging and powerful.

I want to thank you for tackling this issue in such an educated manner, thank you a million times.
